The technology currently available for detecting the amount of soil micro nutrients are based on spectrophotometer. These spectrophotometers are very costly hence limited number of labs are equipped with this facility. Therefore, time involved for testing becomes huge as the samples are first sent to the lab which are remotely located and then testing is done. This instrument requires skilled people for its operation and on top of that lots of reagents are required to test single parameter of soil.
The above problems are mitigated in our technology and it will be a tiffin box size portable instrument which can give the results instantly.
